Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family can make. Parents want a place where their children are safe, known, challenged academically, and nurtured spiritually—a school that partners with families and helps students grow into confident, Christ-centered individuals. For more than 20 years, Calvary Chapel Academy (CCA) in West Melbourne has been that place for families across South Brevard.
Who We Are
Calvary Chapel Academy is a preschool–12th grade Christian school offering a fully biblically-integrated education at every level. Our mission is to partner with families to provide academic excellence through a Christ-centered lens, preparing students not only for college and their career, but for life. From our youngest learners in preschool to our graduating seniors, students at CCA are taught to think critically, serve others, and grow in their faith—all in a nurturing, supportive environment.
Why Families Choose Calvary Chapel Academy
Families often tell us that what sets CCA apart is our staff, small class sizes, spiritual focus, and teacher aides for various grades. Our teachers genuinely know their students—academically and spiritually—and that makes a meaningful difference in how children learn and thrive.
Parents also appreciate that CCA places a strong emphasis on student safety with a full on-campus security team who are well equipped to handle various situations. Academically, we are proud to be the only school in Brevard County offering the NASA Student Research Program, called Growing Beyond Earth, providing students with unique, hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity and innovation.
A Closer Look at the Classroom Experience
At CCA, students benefit from small class sizes:
● Early Education: Max 18 students
● Elementary: Max 20 students
● Middle School: Max 22 students
● High School: On average 20 students
This allows for individualized instruction and strong teacher-student relationships. Preschool and kindergarten classes at CCA each have a full-time teacher aide, while 1st grade through middle school have a floating aide. Our parents particularly like this approach to the classroom experience as it ensures your child is getting the support they need. Learning is hands-on, engaging, and always viewed through a biblical worldview, encouraging students to connect faith with everyday learning. Our Early Ed Program works hard to prepare students for kindergarten and beyond, laying a foundation in faith and academics with fun and meaningful learning experiences.
In elementary, we cultivate a collaborative environment where students work together and develop important social skills while strengthening their academic foundation. Our robust academic program emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a thirst for knowledge.
Our middle school program prides itself on the various academic opportunities it offers our students. With state-of-the-art technological integration, not only do our students have the ability to take high school courses, but they are also able to select electives that best interest them.
Our high school is a college-preparatory, AP Capstone school, offering rigorous academics while maintaining flexibility and support. Our students have the opportunity to earn an AP Capstone diploma as well as receive college credits while learning all subjects through a biblical
worldview.
Faith in Action
Faith is woven into daily life at Calvary Chapel Academy. Students participate in:
● Weekly chapel services
● Bible classes
● Spiritual Growth Week, a dedicated time for reflection and worship
● Mission trips and service opportunities
● High School Crew Teams are groups of various high school levels who participate in service projects, games, bible study, and peer connection, which help teach them the value of community. These experiences help students develop a strong spiritual foundation and a heart for serving others.
Beyond the Classroom
CCA offers a wide range of opportunities for students to explore their interests and talents,
including:
● Athletics, with fall and winter sports
● Fine arts, such as Chorus, Band, Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts
● Clubs and enrichment programs for all ages
We also believe in teaching students the value of generosity and service. Each year, our community participates in Thanksgiving Give Back, collecting food for families in need during the Thanksgiving season. Our students, specifically 10th graders, also participate in mission trips where they learn how to love and serve others who live in poor communities. These are just a few examples of how we instill a heart of generosity and service within our students.
A True Community for the Whole Family
Calvary Chapel Academy is more than a school—it’s a community. Our Parent Connect Group helps families get involved through volunteering and school events, creating meaningful connections among parents. Family-favorite traditions include Grandparents’ Day and Pastries for Parents, which celebrate the partnership between school and home.
